Bruce had to take Bonnie his wife and 3 of the granddaughters of a tractor ride.
Ironically the New Holland is one of his least favorite tractors. I think it is because it’s not green, but hey we all have our preferences!
This bull was so big and backwards coming out. Momma tried hard, but she had to have help!

This week we revisit this age-old question based on the February 21, 2023 USDA Market Report. The question has been asked forever, or at least as long as we have been breeding cattle with a notion of trying to make the next generation better. It is a classic and timeless question. This group of mothers and calves have been move to the back pasture for grazing and to make room for more calves to come.

What better breakfast food is there? We have a nice family pork package available that includes quite a bit of breakfast style meats including Bacon, Sausage links, Sausage patties and bulk sausage.
Sadly there is actually very limited bacon on a pig. Unfortunately your lucky to get 9-13 pounds of bacon per pig.
Stillwater has been blessed by so many calves this year already, thankfully we finally got a heifer out of the group. She will be added to the Stillwater herd producing some of the best registered angus.
Who doesn’t like brats? The seasoning used by Dave’s Cutom Butchering on our sausages and brats is unbelievably good. I would only eat Johnsonville brats before. Well that changed after I had these!
The weekend is coming up. You need something to grill try one of our meat packages here:

Three flavors regular, jalapeño and cheddar.
Simple to fix thaw and grill over low to medium heat cook slowly to avoid burning the outside and pink on the inside.
Cooked low and slow the brauts only take about 15 minutes to grill properly.
Now any of you out there boiling the brauts first are destroying the great flavor. Slow down we are country folk here. Sip some tea or your favorite beverage let the grill do the work.
The flavor of the pork produced at Stillwater Farms is second to none! The pigs are allowed to roam and have access to unlimited feed and clean water using drinkers for the pigs.
So simple to prepare grilled chops make for a fast easy meal on nights when you are rushed.
Prepare earlier in the day by allowing to thaw in the refrigerator. If thawing is not complete I usually finish thawing rapidly in hot water since Stillwater Farms meats are all vacuumsealed.
Once thawed warm the grill to medium heat, season your chop with your favorite seasoning, I usually use seasoned salt, garlic powder or salt.
Cook over medium heat until 165degrees in the middle or until desired doneness.
Serve with fresh vegetables of your choice.
